Product Description

Growth Promoter For Shrimp

A complete nutritional supplement
(For aquaculture use)

A nutritionally balanced compounded diet must include an energy source with sufficient essential amino acids, essential fatty acids and non energy nutrients (Vitamins and minerals) to maintain and promote growth. Any imbalance of these nutrients may have sparing action that would affect the efficacy of conversion of food by the organisms.

In most feeds the nutrients incorporated are not reached to the shrimps due to poor water stability of the feeds. In order to avail an optimum dietary requirement, feed supplements are essential to incorporate while feeding.

This product is especially formulated in order to meet the dietary requirement of shrimps. The constituents of the product viz. amino acids, vitamins, enzymes, minerals and probiotics, act as follows.

Essential and semi-essential amino acids: Since essential amino acids are not at all synthesized in the body, it is very much essential to incorporate in feeds for normal growth and performance of shrimps. Though semi essential amino acids are synthesized in small quantities in the body, it is not sufficient to support the requirement. Thus it is needed to be supplemented in lesser quantity.

Vitamins: These are complex and essential organic trace elements. They carry out various physiological functions. The body of shrimp cannot synthesise vitamins except some of it. Vitamins perform various functions in the metabolic activity of shrimps.

Deficiency of vitamin causes various disorders viz.

Vitamin A

Eye hemorrhage.

Vitamin B

Cell fragmentation.

Vitamin D

White muscle, Necrosis.

Vitamin E

Ceroid liver, Epicarditis, Fragmentation of cells.

Vitamin K

Slow in healing from wounds.

Loss of appetite, muscle atrophy, loss of equilibrium.

Hemorrhagic eyes, poor vision, discoloration.

Nervous disorders.

Panthothenic acid

Necrosis, cellular atrophy.

Necrosis, distended stomach.

Blue slime patch on the body, skin lesion, muscle atrophy.

Folic acid

Dark colouration, Lethargy, fragility of appendages.

Anemia, hemorrhagic kidney and intestine.

Loss of appetite, photophobia, swollen gills.

Ascorbic acid

Eroded europods and pleopods, deformed gill operculum.

Minerals: Minerals are very essential and these are supplemented in diet because shrimps cannot synthesize them. Many of the minerals enter the body of the either through feed or from environment. Minerals provide a basic skeletal structure and are also important cofactors of enzymes and other biological chemical involved in life process. Since shrimp need to maintain their osmotic balance through mineral ion exchange, therefore, mineral requirement is of paramount importance.

Enzymes: Enzymes are naturally produced in the body of shrimp, which digest the food material. The enzymes incorporated in this product helps in better digestion, which increases appetite to the shrimp and increases feed intake.

Probiotic organisms: The probiotic microorganisms in the feed supplement when entered into the gut of shrimp germinate and multiply. They produce bacteriocin, which kill other harmful microorganisms in the intestine and also increases resistance to diseases. They also produce enzymes which enhances digestion and better absorption of nutrient.

5 g / Kg of feed.

Mix the required quantity of the product with the feed along with a good binder and dry in the shade. After drying it is ready to feed to the culturing stock. Mix only the required ration of the day. Do not mix the whole load at a time.
